This policy describes how 黑人探花 (鈥淪outhwestern鈥 or 鈥渢he law school鈥) collects, uses, and protects the information obtained through its websites (www.swlaw.edu and www.swlaw.edu/selfservice) (collectively, 鈥淪ite鈥), and the choices available to users regarding how Southwestern uses the information a user provides. Southwestern follows applicable privacy laws in collecting, using, and safeguarding personal information.
Southwestern provides the Site as a service to its students, alumni, faculty, staff, admissions and job applicants, visitors, and other individuals with an interest in the law school. Nothing in this policy constitutes an inducement, promise, or contract of any kind. Southwestern is committed to respecting personal privacy and has implemented practices designed to safeguard personal information.

This policy does not apply to information collected from or about current or former employees, contractors, volunteers, and other Southwestern workers in the context of their employment or working relationship with Southwestern.
Southwestern complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regarding student education records. FERPA permits Southwestern to disclose certain 鈥渄irectory information鈥 at its discretion, consistent with published policies. Submitting personal information through the Site does not, by itself, authorize the release of education records; such records are handled in accordance with Southwestern鈥檚 Student Records Policy 鈥 FERPA, available on Southwestern鈥檚 Institutional Policies webpage.
