Marcie Canal began her current role as Chief Operating Officer in 2023 and previously served as Associate Dean of Operations and Risk Management. She has also served as Title IX Deputy coordinator since 2012. Marcie has worked at ºÚÈË̽»¨ for over 20 years holding several positions in the Administrative Services department. Marcie is currently responsible for overseeing operations at Southwestern including facilities, human resources management, campus safety and security, coordination of auxiliary services on campus, student housing, events management, and coordination of commencement. Marcie prides herself on operational efficiency, problem-solving skills, and ensuring smooth day-to-day law school operations. Working with a team of dedicated administrative professionals, she consistently strives to create an optimal learning environment for all students. Marcie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and minor degree in Criminal Justice, from Cal State Los Angeles.
