We will consider applications for the Fall 2024 Online J.D. Program from students who intend to study remotely while living in locations where we are approved and where our authorization is pending. Students who plan to reside in pending locations should check this website regularly because the list of locations where Southwestern is authorized to offer the Online J.D. Program continues to expand.
We hope to receive authorization to offer the Online J.D. in additional states before August 2024. Applicants who plan to attend the program while residing in a pending jurisdiction may be granted waitlist status, conditioned on Southwestern determining if it may offer the program in your location. If Southwestern does not have authorization to offer the Online J.D. Program in a location by April 2, 2024, we will alert each waitlisted student who indicated they intended to reside in that location during the program and allow them to receive a refund of any monies paid to Southwestern in connection with their application.
Students who would like to study remotely from a country outside of the U.S. and spouses/dependents of visa holders who have an H-4 visa and are eligible to study online are welcome to apply.
Application Deadline
Application Deadline: April 1, 2025
Applications submitted after the deadline indicated above will be considered on an individual basis. Applicants should be aware, however, that a waiting list can be established as early as February, and eligibility for certain forms of financial aid most preferred by students (e.g., scholarship programs) may be reduced substantially after April 1. We will, however, consider June LSAT scores and later applications on a space-available basis.
